He was annoyed by broken metal hitches and the fact that everything transported in the sleds got destroyed, because there was no way to easily secure cargo. He started out by replicating a popular style used in Alaska.... these early models proved to be extremely dependable but they filled up with snow, the ropes always came loose, cargo slid everywhere, and you could not reverse them when heavily loaded. At this point, Ryan started to experiment with different ways to solve all these problems. He spent years experimenting with different designs, testing, adjusting, etc.... 10 years of hard work and over 15,000 hours of research and development have led to the product that customers see today.
